Winter Breeze

Summer is gone,

and winter is here.

The little squirrels scamper,

they have nothing to fear.

Enjoying the warm sun,

as it beams through the trees.

Mother nature also sends,

the cold, cold winter breeze.

This author has a way of seeing things in a calm and spiritual way. She gives credit where credit is do; To God. Through her poems you can see the faith that she has and that all of us wish we had. Maybe by reading these poems some of us will find that faith again.

This is the second book that I have reviewed for her and I hope that there will be a third.

She is a great poet and a wonderful person.

All who read poetry will find these poems easy to read, and inspirational. I know that I did.

A Book of Poems

By Joyce A. McKissick Weaver

God’s Mighty Hand

When I see the golden harvest,

and the rain that made it grow.

The sunshine in the springtime,

that made the seed unfold.

The flowers on the hillside,

the gentle breezes that blow.

I know God is alive,

for He’s living in my soul.

You can see him everywhere,

in a newborn baby’s cry.

The happy face of a mother,

when she lays him by her side.

The sparrow in the springtime,

as he soars from tree to tree.

Without God’s loving hand,

these things could never be.

When a man has spent his lifetime,

down here on earth below.

His eyes have grown dim,

his steps have gotten slow.

The Creator calls him home,

to a better place on high,

The savior has prepared for him,

a mansion in the sky.
