This poem is from my new book Enduring Love

I WISH THE NIGHT WOULD LAST FOREVER

My darling will you dance with me

Under the sky where the stars shine bright?

I'll pull you up so close to me,

And hug you oh so tight.

We'll hear no music playing,

But we'll dance to the waltz of the wind.

You mean so very much to me,

You are something that only Heaven could send.

O' let us spend this time together.

I wish the night could last forever.

THE CALL OF THE WILD

High up on the mountain,

Or far away in the hills,

One can hear coyotes howling,

They give out a chilling shrill.

A band of men far away

Are camped in the valley below,

They all sit around

 with their campfires burning low.

They night is dark,

 Clouds overshadow the moon.

The howling of the coyotes

Make the night a gloom.

The call of the wild is a frightful sound

As they sit there all alone.

THE MIGHTY OCEAN

Rivers and streams

Flowing gently into the sea.

Our mortal minds may wonder

How can these things be?

How does the ocean

 Become so mighty and great?

With mighty waves so angry and fierce,

Foaming and bursting

As it sweeps over piers.

Claiming whatever that gets in it's way.

This great and mighty ocean

Forever it will stay.

THE MASTER OF THE SEA

Dark billows oer me roll,

Seems I'll drown in the sea of time.

When there's no one to turn to,

No help that I can find.

I'll call out to the master

For he is the master of the sea.

He'll come to my rescue,

I'll know he will deliver me.
