This poem is from my new book Enduring Love

I WISH THE NIGHT WOULD LAST FOREVER

My darling will you dance with me

Under the sky where the stars shine bright?

I'll pull you up so close to me,

And hug you oh so tight.

We'll hear no music playing,

But we'll dance to the waltz of the wind.

You mean so very much to me,

You are something that only Heaven could send.

O' let us spend this time together.

I wish the night could last forever.

THE MAJESTY OF GOD

The river swells it's banks

And flows into the sea.

Only God in his power

Can make these things be.

Of all the raindrops that fall

And the rivers that flow,

Why it never overflows the oceans

man will never know.

The rivers change their course,

And the creeks can run dry.

The flowers on the hillside

Soon fade away and die.

The green grass in the meadows

Are so beautiful to see,

And I know without God

These things could never be.

Do you ever ponder in your heart

HOw big can our God be?

His great majesty and power

Mortal man will never see.

He unfolds his mercy

In many different ways.

He shows us his power

In love that never fades.

GOD'S HELPING HAND

When I woke up this morning

I looked into the heavens so fair.

I knew that God was near me

For he is everywhere.

If I'm awake or if I sleep

He extends his protecting hand.

For Jesus is my Savior

He always understands.

THE MASTER OF THE SEA

Dark billows oer me roll,

Seems I'll drown in the sea of time.

When there's no one to turn to,

No help that I can find.

I'll call out to the master

For he is the master of the sea.

He'll come to my rescue,

I'll know he will deliver me.
